Dr George Del Villar, M.D.

George Del Villar, M.D. was born in Havana, Cuba and immigrated to the USA in 1966.

He attended Southampton College in Southampton, New York with a study award and graduated with a biology degree.  He then attended Universidad del Noreste Medical School in Tampico, Mexico where he graduated with an MD degree, completed an internship, social service and professional exam.  After completing all medical school requirements in Mexico he then started a second internship in Transitional Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.,  then finished his specialty in Physiatry (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) at the University of Arkansas for the Medical Sciences.

He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrist, American Academy of Pain Management and American College of Sports Medicine.  His special interests are in musculoskeletal medicine, pain management, sports medicine and is certified in medical acupuncture.

Dr Del Villar is the  nonoperative Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine Specialist for HCFO.
